Ford Sync

With Ford stepping up to become the first automaker to support the Safe Drivers Act of 2011, the Blue Oval is putting its money where its mouth is by dropping the price of its Sync system from $395 to $295.

The updated pricing will extend first to the 2012 Explorer and Edge, and will be available on all trim levels of the Edge, with the SEL, Limited and Sport models coming standard with the system and the SE now available with Sync as an option. The pricing will later extend to the 2013 Escape, Flex, Focus and Taurus.

In addition to the standard infotainment and navigation functions, Ford is touting the hands-free capabilities of Sync as a safety feature, along with 911 Assist and the Sync Services subscription plan which includes turn-by-turn directions, traffic reports and business searches, all of which can be performed without ever taking your eyes off the road.

Ford plans to make Sync and the new pricing strategy available on every North American model by 2014, and expect a host of upgrades and refinements to happen in the process. Hit the jump for the full details.

Outstanding Service Experience!

Amazing experience at Robins Ford! Took my Flex in there this afternoon for general service (oil change, tire rotation, etc). I was immediately greeted by a very friendly advisor who took care of me right away. I've been to other Ford dealers and the advisors always seem grumpy but not here! It was a breath of fresh air!! I didnt have an appt so I thought I would be there all day but they had me in and out in no time with my car washed. What is nice about this dealer is everyone seems genuinely happy. I went in to ask about getting a cup of coffee and instead of just pointing in one direction, the gentleman (I think he was a salesman because he had a name tag on) took me over to the coffee machine and helped me get a cup. I will definitely be telling everyone about Robins Ford! Wonderful people and great experience!!

SJ C.'s review

My husband pre-ordered a Ford Raptor in March and he had been communicating with Nicole Robins. She was very informative with truck production updates throughout the last few months. Finally, the day came to pick up our truck! We head over to the dealership to be greeted with complimentary tacos. Chris Kay Was very enthusiastic and helpful. Overall, a great experience!

We love our customers!

I have bought several cars from here and I have always had a great experience. I have both of my vehicles serviced here and their always helpful and they always keep me informed. I love the fact they have the email updates so that I am able to check the status of my vehicle. I definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Classic Recreations Shelby GT500CR Venom

Fresh off helping the Oklahoma State Legislature to write a new law to help restorers of vintage cars, Classic Recreations has announced the availability of the "Venom" version of its Shelby GT500CR. From the outside, the Venom appears to be identical to the standard GT500CR model, but under the hood lurks a ProCharger F1-R centrifugal supercharger to boost output of the 427-cubic-inch V8 to 780 horsepower.

There are some subtle changes to the rest of the car, as well. Inside is a set of racing-style bucket seats and a 200-mph speedometer, while the suspension has been upgraded and wider Nitto NT555 series tires added to help handle the extra horsepower.

Classic Recreations has released a bevy of photos of the Shelby GT500CR Venom, which you can see in the gallery below, or hit the jump to see a video of the car in action as well as a list of full features and specifications.
