Theodore Robins Ford Employee of the Month.
Anyone that has worked at Theodore Robins Ford or to our service department
would quickly agree that Juan is a worthy recipient of “Employee
of the Month”. He has been employed here for 8 years, moving up
to lead valet on the service drive. It was his suggestion to replace the
cylinders in lockboxes rather than simply replacing them and, more recently,
he has been given the responsibility to monitor the chemicals and rags,
once again aiding in cost saving for the company. He is always conscientious
and concerned about the efficiency of the company, as well as our customers
having a pleasant experience.
Juan moved to Santa Ana from Tijuana when he was 17 years old. He often
told his mother that although he was born in Mexico, his heart was in
the United States. Even at a young age he was listening to San Diego radio
stations learning English. He began working at a battery factory in Santa
Ana, soon became a Supervisor there, but chose to leave after 25 years
when they decided to relocate to Corona. He actually registered for the
draft when he moved here in 1964.
Juan has 3 children, a 28 year-old son, 26 year-old daughter, and his
“baby”, a 14 year-old son. A strange coincidence about his
youngest is that he was born on the same date, day and time as Juan, and
seems to have a similar personality. He strives to teach him that you
must respect everyone, young and old.
Congratulations Juan on a job well done!
