Entry Level:

Certified Technician:

As a certified technician you will complete factory specialized training to increase your earning potential and status.

 

Journeyman/Master Technician:

As an Automotive Technician based on your skill level, you’ll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. In this role, you’ll interact daily with Customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
  • Professional interaction with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
  • Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the Customer.
  • Performing complete multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
  • Documenting thoroughly work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
  • Keeping up to date on factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive technical training a plus.
  • General Mechanical skills, manual dexterity and able to operate power and hand tools, and other types of automotive repair equipment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organization and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to operate an automobile, including manual transmission vehicles.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license, and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
